Lightning, Close to Home
My first real lightning shot and the most unforgettable. The white drops were thought by many to be hail but they are simply rain illuminated by the strike that I'd estimate was no more than 100 yards away. Grateful to have captured this moment safely and without compromise photographically.

Fourth of July over Paris, Virginia! 30 second exposure.
Strongest consistent lightning I've seen in a Virginia thunderstorm. This was taken from the top of Paris Mountain off of route 50 looking over Paris itself. No injuries or damage were reported from this storm to my knowledge.
